Perfect Start | Orthovations

Partnered with a start-up team to create and conduct training programs to teach the Perfect Start System to doctors and their team members.  Developed training materials for both the clinical presentation and operational implementation training program.  Delivered operational training to staff members during seminars. Created marketing materials and programs for both internal and external marketing in order to drive case starts in Perfect Start preferred provider practices.  Recruited doctors to attend Perfect Start Training Programs.  Provided on-site training and coaching for Perfect Start providers in order to create systems and protocols within their offices that would ensure success with the program.  Built relationships and partnerships with Perfect Start providers to ensure Partnered with Perfect Start Leadership Team to create business strategy.  Handled parent phone calls in response to radio marketing. Provide strategic oversight and leadership to 65 dental practices across Midwestern Region (Colorado, Arizona, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio). Coordinate and lead a staff of five district managers while working with regional dental director and a team of over 100 dentists in the region, including general dentists, oral surgeons, periodontists, and orthodontists. Observe, analyze, and evaluate performance of regional practices against key metrics and business targets. Establish and achieve mission, goals, and objectives of the organization within the region. Supervise and ensure regional operational leadership team members are operating at levels which meet customer’s needs and that meet or exceed financial benchmarks and operating metrics.


Notable Contributions


  • Made significant improvement to quarterly Doctor Orientations that improved clinical and leadership training—reduced cost to conduct by 50% by handling of all logistics. Worked closely with Chief Clinical Officer in conducting three new doctor orientations annually; improved quality and effectiveness of the orientation, as evaluated by doctor surveys
  • Led the Copay Committee in 2012, increased copays across the entire company from 88% to 95% over a four-month period—continue to maintain 95% as a company
  • Strategically developed and implemented employee recognition program, used across the entire company to motivate team members and promote company mission and core values
  • Opened fifteen successful denovo practices, took part in site selection; worked in collaboration with building contractors; coordinated ordering of start-up inventory and décor; responsible for hiring and training of staff as well as marketing of practices
  • Consistently met and exceeded budgets for revenue and EBITDA in region
  • Led the implementation of an oral surgery program and on-boarded oral surgeon in Illinois and Colorado
  • Initiated and implemented compensation plan for oral surgeon that has been adopted to all specialty doctors hired in company going forward
