How do I know if I have sleep apnea?
There a number of warning signs and symptoms which can indicate the need for further investigation:
Symptoms of sleep apnea can be reviewed by your family physician. A diagnosis of Sleep Apnea can only be confirmed by a board certified physician.
Can I talk to any dentist about sleep apnea?
Sleep apnea is a concern in every specialty in medicine. The American Dental Association has recommended that all dentists become proficient at screening for sleep apnea during the course of regular dental check-ups.
Any dentist is qualified to screen for sleep apnea symptoms. However, if you wish to explore the Vivos® treatment—you must be seen by a Vivos® Integrated Practice.
You may wish to discuss the Vivos® protocol with your dentist. If he/she is not a Vivos® Integrated Practice, you can contact our help desk and we will reach out to your dentist.
How long does treatment last?
Every patient is unique. The average duration of treatment is eighteen to twenty-four months. Most patients begin seeing the benefits of treatment within the first few days or weeks.
Is this treatment safe?
The Vivos® treatment protocol is safe and virtually pain-free. The Vivos® System uses naturally occurring biological processes to induce changes in your upper and lower jaws and the tissues that comprise your airway.
How much does the treatment cost?
Pricing for The Vivos® System is set by individual providers. Although the final cost for treatment will be set by your provider, in most states some of the cost of treatment may be covered by commercial medical insurance policies.
