  • Graduated with distinction from the faculty of dentistry in a second career which followed 10 years of practice in medicine as a registered nurse in the areas of labour and delivery, plastic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, intensive care and emergency/trauma
  • Awarded the Arthur B. Cumming medal of excellence in pediatrics
  • Volunteered in a dental surgical hospital in Maharagama, Sri Lanka

Neuromuscular Dentistry

  • Completed the curriculum at Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in temporomandibular disorders and full mouth reconstruction
  • President of ‘The Multidisciplinary Association for the Study of CranioCervical Pain’ (MASCCP) in Edmonton for 10 years
  • Earned a mastership from ‘The International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics’ (ICCMO) after research and publishing a thesis on the impact of jaw position in Multiple Sclerosis. Presented this research in Fukioka, Japan in front of 300 delegates in 5 languages
  • Acts as Canadian Regent on the board of ICCMO
  • Is the head of the Mastership committee in ICCMO

Craniofacial Development

  • Completed the groundbreaking research in her private practice that led to the discovery of a cure for Obstructive Sleep Apnea
  • Published peer accepted evidence of the growth of the maxilla and upper nasal airways in peer reviewed, specialty journals
  • Published a case study of the first cure for severe obstructive sleep apnea in a medical journal
  • Has cured several patients of obstructive sleep apnea
  • Is involved in ongoing research in the prevention of obstructive sleep apnea
  • Is the Canadian certified Instructor for the clinical FASTTRACK program for VIVOs in this area

Private Practice

  • 22 years of private practice with 15 years as owner and sole practitioner in a clinic in downtown Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA
  • Providing the services of general dentistry and the drugfree treatment of craniofacial pain in patients by optimizing their own anatomy and physiology
  • Promoting health and prevention
  • Working to prevent craniofacial pain and obstructive sleep apnea in patients starting at birth
  • Providing the service of laser frenectomy on infants to aid in breastfeeding per World Health Organizatioin
  • Ongoing research in an 18 year study of the effects of these procedures on pediatric craniofacial development and health of the individual especially on the prevention of obstructive sleep apnea
